DISBIOÉTICA - DYSBIOETHICS
A Bioética surgiu como campo de
estudo na década de sessenta do século vinte em meio aos conturbados anos de
questionamento frente à autoridade e às profundas mutações sociais que lá foram iniciadas.
O século passado nos legou uma
sucessão de horrores advindos da guerra e do mau uso da medicina e da pesquisa científica. A reação mais que
necessária foi uma profunda análise dos fundamentos morais e das práticas
clínicas em nossa sociedade, assim como da relação entre o homem e o sistema em que habita. Tal reação, dotada de uma vocação interdisciplinar, gerou e
fortaleceu a Bioética.
Em meio ao profundo e amplo
questionamento de todos os fundamentos prévios de conduta, antigas idéias
ressurgiram travestidas de novas máscaras, atentando novamente contra a vida e
a dignidade humana. As causas de muitos dos questionamentos e debates agora
ressurgiam dentro da própria bioética. Aqui estamos às voltas com a eugenia, o
utilitarismo social e uma estranha forma de milenarismo imanentista (transumanismo).
Antigos hábitos bárbaros e pré-cristãos como o sacrifício de crianças,
deficientes e idosos retornam cada vez com maior força.
A essa regressão da dignidade
humana eu chamo Disbioética.
Disbioética é a Bioética utilizada para a distorção da
moralidade relacionada à vida humana. É a Bioética que optou por se devotar à cultura da morte e à destruição de tudo o que ainda resta de sagrado em nossa civilização.
The past century has bequeathed us a succession of horrors arising from war and from the misuse of medicine and scientific research. The most necessary reaction was a deep analysis of the moral foundations and clinical practices in our society, as well as an analysis of the relationship between man and the system in which he lives. This reaction, endowed with an interdisciplinary vocation, generated and strengthened Bioethics.
Amidst the deep and wide questioning of all previous foundations of morality, old ideas resurfaced in new masks, attempting again against human life and dignity. The causes of so many questionings and debates now reemerged within bioethics itself. Here we are again dealing with eugenics, social utilitarianism and a strange form of immanent millenniarism (transhumanism). Old barbaric and pre-Christian habits such as the sacrifice of children, the disabled and the elderly returned with increasing force.
To this regression of human dignity I call Dysbioethics.
